Why do you need bigger brakes? First, for shorter stopping distances. Get an extra margin of saftey by shortening your stopping distances sometimes up to 30%. A difference of as little as 10-15 feet can be the difference between an accident and a near miss! Second, performance! Superchargers and turbochargers are only one part of the performance equation. More power means faster speeds - and a real need for better brakes! Total performance means power, handling, and braking. Third, is the great look you get from Brembo crossdrilled/slotted rotors. Big wheels and tires look great but add extra weight and mass. This means longer stopping distances for your vehicle. Nothing looks as good behind 17-20" wheels as a 12"-14" Brembo cross-drilled cadmium plated rotors. Billet aluminum hats are vehicle specific and have been machined to exacting specifications. The hats and rotors combine to create a "floating" disc which improves brake performance, pedal feel and heat related stress. Brembo's aluminum four-piston calipers utilize sequentially size pistons to reduce tapered wear of the included high performance brake pads. These calipers are mounted with specially designed aircraft-quality hardware and vehicle specific machined billet brackets. The vehicle's hydraulic system is connected to the calipers with Goodridge brand DOT and TUV approved stainless steel braided brake lines. Brembo supplies brakes for Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Lotus, Mercedes Benz (new S-Class) and also many of the top Forumula 1, Indy, and GT Racing Teams.
All kits are complete, pre-assembled, pre-torqued, and ready to install. The kit includes Brembo oversized 4 piston calipers with sequentially sized pistons, larger diameter racing discs, full "floating" rotor and hat assemblies with billet aluminum hats and McLaren anti-rattle clips, hi-performance brake pads, stainless steel braided lines, and Brembo mounting brackets and hardware. Installation is easy with approx. 1 - 1.5 hours for 2WD applications and a few 4WD applications require changing the knuckles which are included with the kit. All kits work with your vehicles standard braking set-up along with ABS and / or traction control.
